My client is looking for a web developer with experience of developing w3c standards compliant web sites. The candidate will be experienced developing server side code using PHP in combination with a database platform e.g. SQL Server, MySql. Experience of the Symfony MVC framework would also be an advantage

* CMS systems
* Social Networking sites
* E-commerce sites.
* User generated content management and display
* Database driven websites.
* CRM systems (user registration / data capture)

Key Skills

* Web application development using PHP
* SQL development and Relational Database Design
* Web Server / OS administration and configuration
* Object Orientated development and design experience
* Build XHTML/CSS 2.0 web pages to precisely match design supplied by MadeByPi® Creative team
* Ensure web sites use fully semantic mark up, are valid to W3C standards and meet W3C WAI and UK DDA legislation requirements
* Unobtrusive Javascript development including use of XMLHttp / document DOM

Experience in the following areas would be preferred, but not essential:

* Knowledge of agile development techniques including Unit testing.
* Design patterns, MVC etc.
* Subversion
* AJAX / javascript development
* Knowledge of javascript libraries including prototype, mootools etc.
* Mobile technologies
